London Wine Fair highlights
Wow wow wow!! I am still processing yesterday’s London Wine Fair. It was the perfect combination of catching up with old friends, trying new exciting wines, being able to support countries during difficult times as well as welcoming in the next generation of wine communicators. And the day ended at the Drinks business awards with the Cava campaign I was involved in last year winning BEST SOCIAL MEDIA campaign!! Super congratulations to @firstpourdrinks and all the other Cava ambassadors for this awesome achievement!!
What an exciting, stimulating and affirmative day. It really reminded me how lucky I was to be in this industry and that no matter what happens in the world, the wine world is made up of an awesome community who are resilient and lovely and aren’t going anywhere! Cheers to that!!!
In no particular order here are just a few highlights and please check out my story later for wine / retailer shout outs!
1. Me being especially ridiculous with excitement with Richard Morley ( founder of @firstpourdrinks ) at the drinks business awards!
2. The incredible Wines of Ukraine stand which was made possible thanks to the sheer will of @propeller.wine who liased with the various wineries during evacuations, vehicle shelling and all kinds of tragic hurdles.
3. Presenter and Celebrity Wine Brand owner Phillip Schofield - who I took great pleasure leaping on!
4. An Awesome tour through Romanian wine with the inimitable @vinesack - l can now appreciate why @cramelerecaseu won so many awards at @peopleschoicedrinksawards
5. A fantastic talk on the future of wine communication from social media gurus @winetimelondon , @the.british.bouchon and @libbyzietsmanbrodie
6. Me and my mate @benxwine - catching up over super interesting Italian white wines - love what you are doing with @freerunpr
Such a special day filled to the brim with awesome hugs - what could be better?!!
Hope the last day goes well at the fair - super congratulations to @london_wine_fair team.
