Amelia Singer – Internationally award winning Wine Communicator and Educator, wine guru on Jamie Oliver’s Drink Tube Channel, HULU TV presenter on international TV show, ‘The Wine Show’ (now showing in 105 countries), previous Wine Writer for the UK’ s most read Food Magazine (Waitrose), UK Ambassador for the California Wine Institute and Founder of Amelia’s Wine – an event and media business which offers a range of original, fun, helpful and ultimately relatable wine experiences and content.
Throughout her 15 years working in the drinks industry, Amelia has always considered wine to be a lens through which we can see the entire world. It brings together culture, food, travel, politics and social trends. She famously kickstarted her business holding wine centric salon nights in her basement flat called ‘Basement Bacchanalia’. Due to the warm reception she continued to curate cross pollinated, wine centric evenings around the world; collaborating with Opera Holland Park, City of London Sinfonia, Garsington Opera, publishing houses Faber and Enitharmon, plus New York rappers and LA based contemporary art galleries to name a few…
Next year sees the launch of her new podcast ‘Ameliarate Through Wine’ where she pairs wine to famous guests from a range of industries in order to create entertaining yet informative conversations and in some cases… some very exciting event collaborations!

Her diverse range of skills and services means that Amelia recently was given the IWSC and WSET Future 50 award – which recognises innovative and influential drinks industry talent from all around the world. The year before she was shortlisted for the IWSC Wine Communicator of the Year Award. This is the most prestigious, international award that one can be awarded for Wine Education and Communication.
Amelia is now based in LA and UK dividing her time between creative wine tastings and media projects. Her keen interest in pairing music with wine has seen her co-host wine and music events with the City Of London Sinfonia, Garsington Opera, a Kanye West and Spanish wine tasting in a Laguna Beach art gallery, Jazz wine nights with the singer Lucinda Belle and even sing herself at the O2 Academy Islington for the UK wine trade’s annual charity event SKIN CONTACT Live.
She has also been known to combine wine and literature for various London publishing houses ( Faber, Enitharmon), wine and art events for galleries in London and LA and even do wine and philosophy evenings with writers.. Who knew Nietzsche could be such a laugh?!
Amelia has been in the wine industry for the last eleven years and has completed the prestigious WSET Wine Diploma. She studied at Trinity College in Dublin, was brought up in England but has lived and worked in Europe, United States, and South America. Having worked in wineries worldwide (Bordeaux, Rioja and Chile); as well as with well known retailers, importers, online Fine Wine merchants and exciting new wine start ups, she has gained a holistic appreciation of the wine industry.
